In order to allow for ample research, analysis, and community input, the General Plan Update is anticipated to take three years, culminating at the end of 2012 with an adopted General Plan and accompanying EIR.

 

The diagram below illustrates the phases of the planning process and shows all of the opportunities for public participation throughout the General Plan Update effort.
